Littérature et musiques actuelles : rencontres et croisements
Bibliothèque Ceccano 2 bis rue Laboureur 84000 Avignon
The close relationship that has always existed between the art of words and that of sounds has multiplied today, stimulated by the evolution of writing and the emergence of new music.
During this conference, Pascal Bussy, head of Warner Jazz and then artistic director at Harmonia Mundi, uses many examples to discuss the relationships between, on the one hand, poetry, novels and theatre, and on the other hand, jazz, rock and urban music.
It will show that the resulting creations can take on infinite aspects, generating fictional characters, attitudes and styles – for example, is there such a thing as “rock writing”? – up to unprecedented developments that defy labels.
