Live Drama

Margo Chou explores her attachment to the culture of the former Yugoslavia. She cross-dresses in an attempt to become the double of her favorite Bosnian singer, Ljiljana Buttler, a ghost with a thousand lives. She becomes Liliana Butter Not.

Through a single body, a dialogued confidence is established between the two women. Together, they explore their sense of uprooting and trouble their identities.
On a stage turned cabaret, among the audience seated around small tables, they talk to us about women, destinies, confinement and inner struggle in a vain quest for identity.
