L’Étrangère

Marie is the only student present in the class of a passionate but conventional professor.
She will confront her perspective as a young contemporary woman with Camus's masterpiece. Together, they embark on a true literary investigation, a journey between fiction and reality, thus opening up unexplored visions of a novel that never ceases to question us…

Taking the form of a fascinating literary investigation, almost an archaeological dig, L'Étrangère delves into the depths of Albert Camus' most famous novel: The Stranger.
By placing the female character Marie Cardona at the heart of the grand narrative of The Stranger, a student and her professor blend Camus's words with the imagination of a 21st-century young woman, questioning our relationship to masterpieces and why these texts continue to transcend time. A true ode to discovery, transmission, and the quest for truth.
