Les Rendez-vous du Chêne – Albert Moukheiber
Théâtre du Chêne Noir 8 bis, rue Sainte Catherine 84000 Avignon
Patrick Baud welcomes Dr. Albert Moukheiber, neuroscience researcher and clinical psychologist.
He worked for 10 years at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, focusing on anxiety disorders and resilience. At the same time, with fellow researchers, they founded Chiasma, a structure that focuses on critical reasoning and mental flexibility; particularly on how we form our opinions and how this impacts our decision-making.
Albert Moukheiber is also a speaker and speaks in companies to share the latest scientific knowledge about our cognitions and behaviors and how these impact us in our daily lives.
He is the author of a successful first novel, Votre cerveau vous joue des tours (Your Brain Plays Tricks on You) (Allary Editions, 2019), currently being adapted for Arte and translated into 12 languages. His latest published book is Neuromania (2024). He is also the author of the children's book Le cerveau pas bête (Bayard Editions).
During this meeting, we will delve into the mysteries of the human brain: neuroscience, psychology, memory, consciousness, cognitive biases... so many fascinating subjects that shed light on how we perceive and understand the world. We will also revisit his career, his work, and his books, which invite everyone to better question their certainties.
