Les cinq sens au jardin, la vue
Départ : Office de tourisme 41 cours Jean Jaurès 84000 Avignon
Behind the medieval facades and centuries-old ramparts, the papal city hides another treasure, more discreet but just as captivating: its secret gardens.
True havens of peace, these gardens in Avignon offer a poetic respite in the heart of the city, between historical heritage and preserved nature.
Some reveal themselves at the turn of a quiet alley, others are hidden behind closed doors. All share a common thread: they surprise with their serenity, their bucolic charm, and an atmosphere almost suspended in time. Whether nestled in ancient cloisters, perched on panoramic heights, or concealed behind high stone walls, these verdant corners tell another story of Avignon—more intimate, more botanical.
While it's true that all the senses are awakened in the garden, the first to be stimulated is undoubtedly sight. Sight is the first sense touched by the garden, by the diversity of shapes and colors of the plants. The garden becomes a veritable palette of colors.
