LES CHOSES DIVINES – Inventaire fantaisiste, une exposition de Macha Makeïeff

“DIVINE THINGS – A whimsical inventory” transforms the fortress into a theatrical and poetic journey, conceived as a stroll revealing, in the manner of an exquisite corpse, “heroic debris”, chimeras, or even “astonished remains” saved from oblivion.
Cabins, closets, mystical houses, reconstructed sets, whimsical architectures will bring together everyday objects and selected works from collections in the South for a poetic journey, “fragile as a dream”, which celebrates what the theatre leaves behind.

An immersive journey in the heart of the Palace of the Popes, which invites visitors to travel from the everyday to the sacred by crossing a series of spaces designed like "houses" filled with works, costumes and theatrical objects.

Major artists and emerging talents engage in a dialogue within a poetic and spectacular staging. Visitors wander freely, encountering surprises one after another, as if in a 360° live performance. A visual and sensory experience that transforms the monument into a grand, imaginary theatre.
