L’Enquête
Théâtre des Halles Rue du Roi René 84000 Avignon
What do you do when you are a circus artist and you inherit from a 102-year-old woman some objects that belonged to her late husband Pierre Bonvallet, known as Punch, with this troubling injunction: "that he do something with them"?
He was a post-war whiteface clown who performed his talents in a duo at the Médrano circus in Paris and the Krone circus in Munich, with this disturbing injunction.
Tightrope walker Sébastien Le Guen invites us to share in his process and to literally follow the thread of this investigation, which quickly becomes for him a dizzying reflection on his own journey. We walk a tightrope from one decade to the next.
Theatre of bodies and objects. Circus-theatre of emotion, a true ode to vertigo.
