“Swan Lake” is for many synonymous with ballet. This romantic tale about young Prince Siegfried, who falls in love with the swan princess Odette and wants to free her from the evil spell cast by Duke Redbeard, is a story about the power of true love.
This ballet piece is part of the standard repertoire of all major companies. The Allegro Moderato of the swan dances of the second act, in particular, is the subject of countless parodies in Lev Ivanov's choreography and is therefore known as the "dance of the four little swans" far beyond the public ballet lover.
