Le cimetière Saint-Véran

A l’entrée du cimetière Saint Véran avenue Stuart Mill 84000 Avignon
Guided and / or commented visit
Avignon Tourism offers you a guided tour of the Saint-Véran cemetery, created at the beginning of the French Restoration, in 1820, and listed in the general inventory of cultural heritage.
Along with the Père-Lachaise cemetery, it is one of the oldest in France and a veritable open-air museum of sculpture and funerary art.
It covers 14 hectares and includes some 12,000 graves.
We come across various tombs of more or less famous people, which are sometimes the work of sculptors still known or now forgotten (Félix Charpentier, Félix Devaux, Augustin Cerri, Alphonse Guérin, etc.).

Duration 2 hours – capacity limited to 20 people.
Arrive 15 minutes before the start of the tour.
The visit takes place outdoors.
Pets are not allowed.
It is forbidden to take photographs of family graves, with the exception of those in the public domain (famous graves listed by the Funeral Affairs Department).
