Becoming someone else… in order to survive. A profound reflection on identity, faith, and the capacity of people to overcome their differences.
April 1944, a suburb of Lyon. One night, Samuel Rosenthal, being hunted, tries to reach Switzerland and finds refuge with Father Jocelyn. Marceline, his housekeeper, doesn't take kindly to his arrival, especially as the suspicions of the local Militia leader are gradually closing in on the clergyman and the fugitive. In this post-war period, when one must navigate between two pitfalls to stay alive, certainties waver and reveal the hidden depths of others. But who is this "other" we thought we knew? And what image does he reflect back to us of ourselves?
