La Provence photographiée

Provence has regularly been at the heart of 19th and 20th century photographs in Avignon. At the Municipal Archives, the George collection, but also Aubanel or Poirson, as well as sets of postcards, immerse us in Provençal landscapes, festivals or celebrations, invite us to meet women from Arles in costume, and question a form of “folklore”.
