This exhibition captures the essence of an iconic 60s building: the municipal swimming pool of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.
Through images with pastel colors and chlorinated atmospheres, the artist invites the viewer on an introspective journey, blending personal memories and reflection on the preservation of architectural heritage.
“The Swimming Pool” is an immersive photographic series dedicated to the municipal swimming pool of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, a building constructed in the 60s and characterized by its bright colors, unique lines and atmospheres reminiscent of the sixties.
The exhibition invites visitors to discover this iconic place through around twenty works.
The photographs capture a variety of moments: the morning light in the changing rooms, sunlight filtering through the portholes, sunset over the mosaic of the main pool, and even moonlit nights and stormy days. The techniques employed—long exposure, double exposure, and film—highlight 50 shades of blue and the soft hues of the walls, evoking a dreamlike tranquility and the carefree spirit of summer afternoons.
