La fileuse de nuit

One of those patches of fabric you sew onto a garment to cover a hole. I had this piece of family history in my suitcase, torn in several places. While searching for tools to repair it, I discovered a missing patch in the shape of a child. And finding it brought others to light, other patches, other children. Enough to begin mending my torn fabric.

But since I'm not a seamstress, I wrote a show.

This is the story of a girl in a cave who unlocks doors. She explores the family's underground passages, questions unseen legacies, and investigates the transgenerational labyrinth. From revealed secrets to awakened monsters, a web of echoes is woven before the audience's eyes. Perhaps they will even participate in its creation, for a buried silence is contagious; it gives voice to what is unspoken and to those who remain silent.

It is possible that, upon leaving the theatre, each person will leave with their own piece of fabric at the end of the line, for any useful purpose.
