They wanted to create a powerful, modern, and committed show, but our contemporary artisans are unstable, sensitive, and profoundly maladjusted. Unruly and sincere, they carry their art within them; they need to play, to have fun, and cannot confine themselves to the limits of a form. The stage is their stage for life, for their household, a playground for letting off steam, for facing everyday life, the passing of time, and the death that awaits them. Making theater an art of living, an art of loving, they come to cut through reality with a lyricism from elsewhere.
