Jazz Story #2 – Jimmy Giuffre

An interview with Daniel Baillon, who has just published a biography dedicated to the clarinetist, saxophonist, composer and arranger Jimmy Giuffre, a musician whose importance, over time, is becoming increasingly evident.
Together we will revisit the highlights of his illustrious career through some historic and sometimes quite rare recordings. It should be noted that the book also features Philippe Carles's beautiful text, "Jimmy Plays Free."
Jazz Stories are talks led by Jean-Paul Ricard and Bruno Levée, featuring original vinyl records. A chance to share and listen for all jazz and vinyl enthusiasts. A potluck-style aperitif is offered before the talk, at 18 pm.
