Inspired by the dreamlike quality of surrealist experimental cinema, in the vein of director Maya Deren, Howl is a plunge into the unconscious.
The story follows a woman who acts as an oracle and her prophetic visions through mineral and forest landscapes. Mirrors become passages between time and space, oscillating between natural reality and hallucinations.
In this magical universe, the body transforms: it grows, shrinks, fragments, giving rise to mysterious doubles, fantastic creatures and screaming faces.
The soundtrack, entirely vocal, transforms the voice into wind, smoke or birds, before it becomes human again in a liberating cry.
