Fusion Art-Tech – Éclats de perles et de lumière –
Villa Créative 33 bis rue Louis Pasteur 84000 Avignon
Immerse yourself in the world where art embroidery meets new technologies: an exhibition born from the hands of the artists of Studio Eyral.
Anchored in the heart of the Villa Créative, a cultural space dedicated to research and innovation, this exhibition situates art embroidery within an experimental artistic approach, at the crossroads of visual arts, technology, and materials. It blends ancestral techniques with contemporary explorations, affirming embroidery as a field of artistic research in its own right.
The exhibited works explore the connections between humanity, nature, and all living things, questioning our place within this constantly evolving whole. Some engage with digital media through video mapping or augmented reality, while others arise from innovative collaborations with goldsmithing, experimental photography, or even 3D ceramic printing. All share the same ambition: to usher art embroidery into a new era, where tradition and technology interact and enrich one another.
Alongside the creators trained by Studio Eyral, an online training organization that brings together participants from many backgrounds and allows everyone, even without an initial artistic background, to explore their creativity, two guest artists enrich this edition:
Delphine Leverrier, who repurposes vinyl record sleeves into embroidered supports,
Emmanuelle Dupont, winner of the Liliane Bettencourt Prize for the Intelligence of the Hand, whose hybrid works push back the boundaries of textiles.
Finally, a collaborative work by the Studio Eyral community—entitled Fragments of Soul—will be unveiled for the first time. Inspired by Korean bojagi, this participatory creation brings together embroidered fragments from different countries, symbolizing unity in diversity and the connection between creative souls.
The journey invites us to marvel, but also to question our relationship with nature and nourish our inner world.
Opening reception Friday, November 7th, from 18pm to 22pm
Free access.
