Festival Off Avignon – 60e édition

60 YEARS OF HISTORY
A space for spontaneous creation born in 1966 around the Avignon Festival, known as In, the Avignon Off Festival is today one of the largest performing arts festivals in the world.
Every July, Avignon is transformed into a festival city by thousands of artists who take over the streets and more than a hundred theaters throughout the city. A unique model built around the independence of the participating organizations, the Avignon Off Festival welcomes the full richness and diversity of national and international artistic creation.
To support the event, its organization, its stakeholders and its evolution, the Avignon Festival & Companies (AF&C) association was created in 2006 at the initiative of companies and theaters.
Throughout the year, AF&C develops initiatives to support creation, assist artistic teams, work on audience development and accessibility for all to the festival.

The guest of honour at this edition: the Mediterranean.

The Off Village (Bouquerie School – 6, rue Pourquery de Boisserin)
The Off Village is the common home of the Avignon Off Festival, bringing together all its participants: public, artistic and technical teams, professionals, partners, etc.
A crossroads of discoveries and practices, the Village du Off is the place in Avignon where encounters are woven, energies are federated, debates are argued, utopias are regenerated, ideas are confronted and invented, and the future is dreamed of.
Reception and sales point, more than 300 events, Le Son du Off – contemporary music festival, bookstore, canteen and bar.

The village TADAMM! (Simone Veil School – 1, rue des Ecoles)
Since 2022, AF&C has been committed to improving the experience for families and young audiences. This commitment has materialized in the continued publication of a children's guide for the past four editions, followed by the organization of artistic workshops for children during the festival.
The 2025 edition was marked by the opening of a new venue, which has been renewed this year: the TADAMM! Village, a village for children and families located in the Simone Veil School (former venue for the Off Village).
The program includes: mediation and artistic practice workshops, presentations of excerpts from shows, a social area, a bookstore, a bar and its light refreshments, relaxation, rest and game areas.
An oasis dedicated to childhood and youth right in the heart of the festival!
