Exposition «Rêveries monumentales»

Passionate about history and mythology, he paints and draws imaginary geologies and strange, gigantic, and labyrinthine cities. These monumental reveries recall the architecture of historical monuments and here enter into dialogue with the medieval architecture of Fort Saint-André.
In two rooms of the visitor route, the exhibition displays reproductions of drawings in very large format to immerse oneself in this dreamlike universe unique to the artist.

Born in 1980, a former student of the Met de Penninghen school and the Ecole du Louvre, Laurent Gapaillard began his career creating sets and visual universes for various feature films, animated films and video games recognized for their graphic quality.
