This jewel of the English crown presents the gentleman thief with a new challenge: to elude the watchful eye of Queen Victoria and return it to the Maharajah, its rightful owner. If he succeeds, the Maharajah will undoubtedly be very generous…
But Queen Victoria wasn't about to let that stand! More than the jewel itself, it was the reputation of the British crown that depended on it! So Queen Victoria herself set out in pursuit of the most famous of jewel thieves: Arsène Lupin, who was in the city. This diamond had to be returned to London, that was a royal promise!
