Écho et Zéphyr

Since 2022, with the Festival C'est pas du luxe!, the Lambert Collection has been developing a citizen collective bringing together residents of boarding houses, people with fragile life paths, social workers, artists and members of the museum.
In 2026, the collective invited Émilie Rousset, Louise Hémon and Sarah Maeght to explore the notion of family(ies) based on the places where the participants live: boarding houses. For several months, workshops and visits fueled a collective research around three questions: forming a group, inhabiting a place, making oneself heard.
This project gave rise to two original works: Echo, a textual installation based on conversations recorded in boarding houses, and Zephyr, a video installation in which the collective confronts the wind in the Boulbon quarry. These works are presented alongside a selection of pieces from the Lambert Collection chosen by members of the collective. The exhibition thus becomes a space for the interplay between life stories, imagined worlds, and works of art.
Opening day Friday, September 25th:
16-17pm: Screening and discussion of the film "Expert Esthétique" by Pauline Bastard at the Lambert Collection
17:30 p.m.: Opening of the "C'est pas du luxe" Festival – Place des Corps Saints in Avignon
18:30 p.m.: Opening of the Echo and Zephyr exhibition at the Lambert Collection, followed by a buffet and activations of the Zephyr artwork by the Collective.
The Lambert Collection offers a free guided tour for families on Saturday 26 at 14pm and Sunday 27 at 14pm.
