Dyke Injection

What is that moment when everything changes? That flickering, sublime point between death and extreme vitality. That fracture, whether it be romantic, political, familial, or related to identity, and sometimes, all of them at once.
This project explores the intimate and political breaking point of becoming a lesbian. It is based on an analogy between geological dykes, injections of burning magma crossing faults in the rock system, and the term "dyke," an insult reclaimed by LGBTQIA+ communities as a symbol of pride, resistance, and visibility.
