Des raisonnements déraisonnables

Le Grenier à sel 2 rue du Rempart Saint-Lazare 84000 Avignon

Exhibition

Dedicated to Julien Prévieux, a major figure in the contemporary art scene, the exhibition highlights the challenges, flaws and absurdities of a world controlled by "intelligent" machines.
Videos – Sculptures – Drawings – Installations.

The exhibition "Unreasonable Reasoning" examines language systems as structures of power and regulation of human behavior. Julien Prévieux explores this question through two fields of application: spatial activities on the one hand, and artificial intelligence on the other.

The exhibition presents a selection of the artist's seminal works as well as a collection of new creations, produced specifically for the exhibition. These latter works, focusing on the malfunctions and invisible processes of artificial intelligence, pay particular attention to the hallucinations produced by AI.

The common thread running through all the works is a questioning of the control of machines, their possible flaws, and the absurdity generated by this profusion of digital languages.

# Julien Prévieux
A key figure in the contemporary art scene (winner of the 2014 Marcel Duchamp Prize), Julien Prévieux champions a multidisciplinary practice driven by a playful vision of social critique. His work is regularly exhibited in art centers and museums, both in France and abroad, and is prominently featured in public and private collections.

As a keen observer of the contemporary world and our behaviors, the artist is particularly interested in the impact of technological revolutions on our societies and their hold on individual and collective bodies. His practice intersects visual arts, performance, computer science, artificial intelligence, and choreography.

Free and free entry, without reservation.

Guided tours on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 16:30 pm.
