– Saturday, March 21 at 14 p.m.: Architecture

From the Jesuit Chapel to the Palace of the Popes, from the papal capital to the 21st century city, let the stones tell you their story.

– Saturday, April 11 at 14 p.m.: Avignon as seen by its writers
Arriving in Avignon at a beautiful autumn sunset is a truly wonderful thing. Autumn, the sunset, Avignon—these are three harmonies.
Victor Hugo – 1839
They loved it or they mistreated it, they lived there or stopped there, they described it in their works or simply used it as the setting for their novels—in every era, Avignon has been a source of inspiration for writers from all over the world. On this tour, follow in their footsteps, and as you turn the pages that will be recounted, immerse yourself in the books that have evoked, depicted, analyzed, and revealed Avignon… in short, discover Avignon as seen by its writers!

– Saturday, May 30 at 14 p.m.: Avignon and the Theatre, a long love story
Fifty-five years ago, Jean Vilar passed away (1971). An international capital of the performing arts every year since 1947 thanks to its renowned Festival, created by Jean Vilar in the Cour d'Honneur of the Palais des Papes, a true hub of creation and exchange, our beautiful city demonstrates its attachment to its prestigious history while looking towards the future. The history of theatre is inscribed in its very DNA and is displayed on its walls through its iconic painted windows. This tour, which complements the series dedicated to Fine Arts, invites you to experience this remarkable story, that of a city and its festival. Passing by the house where Molière performed twice and the opera house...
In Place de l'Horloge, look up at the portraits of actors painted on the walls, a veritable pantheon of theatre. Then discover the collections of the Maison Jean Vilar (drawings, archives, recordings, photographs and costumes) and its new visitor experience retracing the history of the Festival.

Duration: 2 hours per visit – limited to 20 people.
