Cycle calendal au Palais du Roure
Palais du Roure 3 rue du Collège du Roure 84000 Avignon
To celebrate Christmas traditions in Provence, the Palais du Roure, a temple of Provençal culture, presents its traditional Christmas cycle with the nativity scene and the table of 13 desserts from mid-December to mid-January.
The Table of Thirteen Desserts is an essential element of Provençal Christmas traditions: olive oil cake, bread pudding, raisins, white and black nougat, apples, dried figs, dates, almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, pears, quince paste, jams, oreillettes and cooked wine.
