Inspired by Manuel de Falla's famous ballet El Amor Brujo, composed in 1915, Cantos Brujos tells the story of Candela, a gypsy haunted by the ghost of her former fiancé.
To free herself and live her love with Carmelo, she performs a ritual dance around the fire at midnight.
Jean-Marie Machado has created an intense musical and choreographic version, enhanced by the dance of Ana Pérez, a leading figure in contemporary flamenco.
