Burkina Azza en concert
Bibliothèque Ceccano 2 bis rue Laboureur 84000 Avignon
Burkina Azza, "Griot of Burkina" in the Bobo language, is a group composed of four brothers originally from Djibasso, in the northwest of Burkina Faso, now living in Ouagadougou.
Heirs to a musical tradition passed down from father to son, they are balafon players from generation to generation, enriching their music with percussion (djembe, tama, bara, doum) and stringed instruments such as the kora and the n'goni. Vocals and choruses occupy an essential place in their compositions, driven by an intense and infectious energy.
Burkina Azza, a renowned stage group, offers a show open to all, a true musical journey to the heart of the traditions and sounds of West Africa.
