The Ban des Vendanges des Côtes du Rhône is the festival marking the start of the grape harvest in the Rhône Valley, the main wine-related, cultural and festive event organized on the last Saturday of August.
Avignon and Vaucluse's biggest free popular event returns a few days before the start of the school year to proclaim to everyone that the grape harvest can begin.
A grand ball, an XXL gourmet market, festive and educational activities for young and old take place between 17:30 pm and midnight.
