The FabricA at the Avignon Festival hosts a meeting with Gisèle Pelicot, on the occasion of the publication of her book Et la joie de vivre, written with Judith Perrignon.
"With this book, I want to put words to what I've been through. To say that I'm no longer afraid of being alone, that I've rediscovered the joy of living. To say that I'm alive."
By deciding to make her attackers' trial public, she rejected shame and chose the light. Her story, both intimate and universal, recounts the shock, the shattering, the rebuilding, and the rediscovery of a possible joy. Through this rare testimony, an essential question unites us: how to continue living, loving, and moving forward after the unthinkable?
