Atelier « Regards croisés »
La Villa Créative 33 bis rue Louis Pasteur 84000 Avignon
The "Crossed Perspectives" workshop invites you to the Creative Villa for a new literary... and comparative exploration: three works will be compared.
Edgar Allan Poe's The Purloined Letter, where the knight Dupin displays intelligence made of curiosity, observation and adaptation – foreshadowing a famous detective whom you will easily recognize – in a plot where the obvious is hidden right under our eyes.
Charles Perrault's Bluebeard, a famous tale where curiosity, both irrepressible and forbidden, leads the heroine to seek a forbidden door… at the risk of discovering a truth as fascinating as it is terrifying.
Bluebeard by Amélie Nothomb, a contemporary and offbeat rewriting of the myth, where the author plays with the codes of the fairy tale to question power, desire, and modern forms of the forbidden, in a confrontation as strange as it is intriguing.
The workshop offers a free and friendly space for discussion around texts, bringing together the perspectives, interpretations, and sensibilities of the participants. No prior reading is required: this workshop is also an invitation to discover the works in a new light, to inspire a desire to read, and to generate, through discussion, sometimes unexpected avenues of thought.
Free and open to everyone.
