Ambra Senatore
Ambra Senatore trained with Raffaella Giordano and Roberto Castello, with whom she also performed. She then worked with renowned figures such as Jean-Claude Gallotta, Giorgio Rossi, Georges Lavaudant, and Antonio Tagliarini. In the early 2000s, she created collaborative pieces while simultaneously pursuing a doctorate in contemporary dance. Passionate about teaching, she taught dance history for several years at the University of Milan. Between 2004 and 2009, she created and performed a series of acclaimed solos before turning to group pieces in 2009. For these choreographic works, she surrounds herself with a core group of like-minded performers who have become invaluable collaborators. During her years as director of the CCN in Nantes (2016–2025), she explored a wide range of formats for the stage and public spaces, utilizing diverse living and transit areas: public parks, markets, schools, museums, train stations, heritage sites, etc. It is this constant dialogue with the public and the space that she continues today with the EDA company.
