From the torment of this unattainable love to the despair of this non-reciprocation for Apollo, to the metamorphosis of Daphne into a laurel tree to escape the latter's imperious desire and preserve her freedom.
An ecstasy where the being, freed from the desire that pursued it, finds in nature a form of transcendence and eternity.
