The Youpi! bookstore-café is offering numerous events throughout the month of November.
Thursday, November 6 from 19:30 p.m. to 21 p.m.
“Winter Grain”
As part of the Polar Festival, we will welcome author Laurence Biberfeld for her novel “Grain d'hiver.” This will be an opportunity to address the themes of migration, family, and violence against women with great humanity. All of this is delivered through magnificent language.
In partnership with the Polar Festival
Saturday 8 November from 10:15 p.m. to 11:45 p.m.
Grandparents’ Café: “How do we talk to our grandchildren about death?”
Death is rarely an easy topic to discuss with a child! Yet it is important to talk about it because it is a part of life. What does a child understand about death? How do you explain death to a child? How do you answer a child's questions about death?
Come and discuss this topic with Dominique Lefevre!
Thursday, November 13 from 19:30 p.m. to 21 p.m.
“Confiscated Land: A Critique of Regional Planning”
Meeting with Jean-Marc Ghitti, professor of philosophy. A69, ring roads, urban bypasses... Beyond purely ecological arguments, regional planning always serves centralized power and harmful economic development.
Saturday 15 November from 10:15 p.m. to 11:45 p.m.
“Mobile phone on pause”, what do we parents do?
Supporting teens and their smartphones during middle school hours is no easy task for parents and educators! Meet Elisabeth Goiffon, Vaucluse APcomm facilitator. She helps you find the words to facilitate the adult-teenager relationship on a daily basis.

Wednesday, November 19 from 19:30 p.m. to 21 p.m.
Thinking about the world with ecofictions
An interview with astrophysicist Roland Lehoucq. By seeking to transcend the constraints of reality, science fiction explains them and imagines the consequences of forgetting them. His stories form a repertoire of possibilities that helps us reflect on collective ways of addressing environmental challenges.
Saturday 22 November from 10:15 p.m. to 11:45 p.m.
Workshop/signing: “Is this normal?”
A lively workshop where you can speak anonymously or not about sexist and sexual violence. If you wish, you can drop a question in the box at the entrance, starting with "Is it normal to..."; the authors will answer with kindness, kindness, and clarity.
Thursday, November 27 from 19:30 p.m. to 21 p.m.
“Pairali”
A meeting with Miana Bayani about her novels “Païerali” and “Svaboda.” A dive into the daily life of Sofia, a young Muslim woman, to the rhythm of boxing classes and training. And a big question: can forgiveness be greater than anger?
In partnership with the Rési-liantes collective
Saturday 29 November from 10:15 p.m. to 11:45 p.m.
Family coloring – intergenerational
