Divers lieux Divers lieux 84000 Avignon

The unmissable back-to-school event!
The European Heritage Days are a great opportunity to (re)discover heritage close to home because many places open their doors to you!

Created in 1984 under the name of "Open Days of Historic Monuments" by the Ministry of Culture, their objective is to show as many people as possible the extraordinary richness of our heritage through unique events, unusual visits, and exceptional openings.

Come (re)discover the exceptional monuments that make Avignon world-renowned! Take the opportunity to visit the Palais des Papes and the Pont d'Avignon with free admission and museums and private sites at reduced rates.

The event takes place on the 3rd weekend of September.

The theme of this edition is “Heritage in danger”

Two days of guided tours, exhibitions, urban walks, buildings open for the occasion which, divided between museums and municipal buildings, private museums, partner sites and religious heritage, will delight curious young and old.
