"With love, everything can be healed."

These are the words that conclude the play TATIANA, a tribute to my sister who disappeared without a trace in 1995 at the Perpignan train station. It is a living, vibrant ceremony that would have been impossible outside the stage, a psychomagical act, a reversal of the world through art, an attempt to mend history. Today, I embark on writing a new autofictional, familial, and restorative quest: to resurrect my brother, MARC.

Marc is a one-man ska-punk concert, an unstable, devilishly vibrant energy, a guitar case stuffed with stickers. He's a permanent sketch, bold strokes in black marker, scribbles in Bic pen, and a billion erasures. He's a tattooed body, a marked body, a body that has experienced a temptation as liberating as it was destructive: drugs. He's also a young boy who lost his sister when he was only 14, a sensitive and lost soul. Marc is a Catalan with piercings and a mohawk. A mohawk on which the steep path of his life is etched.

Marc is an outsider, a troublemaker. A punk, a punk, “Hey Julien, that guy busking over there looks like your brother.” Marc has always been on the fringes, on the edge, beside the point, on the border between survival and death. Marc reminds us how we don't know what to do with our “Marcs,” including the void left by their departure, however predictable it may be.

In other words, even in death he poses a problem… he insists.

In this solo performance, I would like to begin a dialogue with my brother, with the darkness, with his death. To bring him back to life for the duration of a musical, choreographic, and theatrical show, a concert-interview, a paranormal spectacle, an eclectic and dissonant musical tragedy, a dialogue between the dead and the living, a live performance from beyond the grave. I dream of introducing you to the brother I myself would have loved to meet.
